Many people complain about the complicated math or progressive/liberal influence in the questions & content itself. In addition to those issues, there is also data tracking done on the kids and their families without permission of the parents. The kids are 'tracked' from kindergarten on, they take required surveys about their families income and political affiliation. It was written with little teacher input, and even those eventually were pushed out by the large corporate sponsors and political lobbyist. Here are a couple of links you can visit to learn more about the data mining aspect of CC. All in all, it limits our children's 'thinking outside the box' and only allows for the answer they want the children to give. The states which bought into the program sold our students for a few million in stimulus money, and now they are back tracking and suing to get out of it. Please learn from the mistakes of the other districts which are now getting rid of the program.
