Dress Codes & Football Games

I believe dress codes exist for students attending class each day. In fact, communications were recently sent out to parents detailing out what the appropriate dress code was for students attending homecoming dances. My question is why are dress codes not enforced at high school football games? The games are school sponsered events. I think it is appalling that Millard Public Schools allow young girls to parade around in sports bras, short shorts, fish net stockings, etc. And for young boys to go around with no shirts and pants so low you see their underwear. I support kids having fun, but truly, would they have any less fun if they had a t-shirt on over their sports bra or bare chests? Allow the body paint on faces, arms and legs, support the themes (black outs white outs, whatever). But let's be consistent with our message to the kids and apply some common decency to what is acceptable attire at school and school sponsered events and stop allowing our young adults to parade around in their underwear.
