Like most parents new to Millard I toured my child's school. I think it would also be helpful as we grow for each school to hold an initiation session to better understand the school philosophy, ask questions, and understand more of the benefits (I suppose the K roundup covers some but move/opt-ins don't get this). I've learned a lot from this forum (about the schools' technology(phone app is nice for Infinite Campus),some class offerings in later grades (finance),social media at some schools/not others, etc. but still have questions. Are there science fairs in later grades? What path will my child take after elementary and can we modify? I'm sure they will be answered as time goes on but would be great to also have a forum where parents with similar aged children/needs can ask questions and discuss. Especially if part of the growth in Millard - might get these parents up and running/involved quicker.
