Could we possibly paint the curb a color.... lets say red since lots of them are already fire lanes and are red to start with.... then "teach" parents that when picking up and dropping off children they are to drive as far forward as they can BEFORE stopping to let their child out of the vehicle. So if you have another 30 feet in front of you that is painted red... you keep driving so as many vehicles as possible can fit into the circle at once. Too many times parents are waiting to drive right up to the door to let their children out of the vehicle, sometimes moving up only a car length or two, not only does it slow traffic BUT its DANGEROUS when you think everyone is exiting the circle and then suddenly someone stops and doors open up! Rockwell does a great job at drop off and pick up ( except for all the left turns where there is a no left turn sign) Holling does a great job as well... Central Middle School has a lot of opportunity for improvement.
