As a Millard North parent we are finding the recent moves by the principal to eliminate separate parent groups such as the band parents into a general broad based group not only socialist in nature (bad example to teach kids) but a definite disincentive to make the notable contributions we have made in the past. This move was made somewhat covertly until the decision was already made. It was made in the name of "fairness" to smaller student organizations but without parent input prior to the decision. At the same time, Millard West continues to enjoy the benefits of separate in independently run parent groups.
