Millard Parental Support Groups

I have been reading several ideas here and under General Issues and I don't think we need a special skills class for children or just a Facebook Page. I think a lot of this falls more in line with parental support groups. Groups where adults can come together and discuss issues they are having with their children and brainstorm other approaches to the situations. I really wish there was a support group because I could use it! Try having a 3 1/2 year old who refuses to talk and potty train! Talk about frustration when all you get is yelling, screaming and crying every time you try to work with him. Maybe we just need to start the support groups. It can easily be done by school and grade level. The only thing the schools would need to do is open up space for us to meet either weekly or bi-weekly. You would only need a few people to head up the group and keep it organized. You could even ask for support group membership fees and donate the money to the schools for the meeting space provided. It could mean a little extra funding for the schools.
