Communication between parents, teachers, and administration

Parents are the experts on their own children. Teachers are the experts on disseminating information for retention. Administrators are experts in procedure and overall organization. Why not put all of these heads together when seeking answers to problems relating to schools? Fundraising, volunteering, etc are important but I feel that parents are an underutilized resource when it comes to problems faced by students, educators, and administration. As a parent, I want to know the political concerns facing teachers and administrators. I want to understand the pressures being placed upon them from upper administration or government and how I can help. I want to know when they see curriculum they feel is inappropriate or difficulties they run into in accomplishing their jobs. I want teachers to know my concerns in these areas as well and I would like an opportunity to understand, share ideas, and work together to solve issues. Some examples: traffic, testing, policy, politics.
