The federal government is in the process of implementing new guidelines for school foods as part of the Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010. Rule changes including items like baked chips in place of regular chips and water, low-fat milk and 100% fruit juice in elementary and middle schools. Diet drinks will be allowed in high schools.
