I would like to see an entirely new theory of education put into process. I do not believe sitting at desks in a classroom for 7 hours a day is truly the most effective way to learn. Why not incorporate individualized avenues for learning? All students are not the same. Learning styles are not the same. A child with ADHD needs a better environment to learn in than another type of child. I think the entire school structure is outdated. I love that Millard offers a Montessori track. I believe this needs to be taken a step further. What other ideas are currently being tested in other communities to help with individualized learning? What processes can Millard change to allow our students to learn at their own pace, in the best environment to suit their style?
