I love being an involved parent and am all for students and parents communicating about schoolwork and what is happening during the day. As a parent, we have to sign an assignment notebook every day, and sometimes sign the actual homework sheet that was listed in the assignment notebook. What is the point of this, and what are we teaching?... accountability to the student or the parent? It seems excessive.
