What is the purpose of having children move to a new classroom BEFORE school is out for the summer? My child moved their classroom the Thursday before school was dismissed. At the same time children were moved to a portable that had no functioning toilets. It would seem more common sense to make sure the space was prepared before occupying it. We are encouraged not to pull our children out of school prior to 2:15 on Wednesday, but when I hear stories of moving classrooms, etc.....I wonder if the time there is being well spent. I know the end of the school year tends to include more fun activities and I am not opposed to that, however I do not see the value in moving classrooms before the year is up. When is the last day of school for the teachers? Is there not time allowed to have items moved after the students are out from under their feet?
