Recycling, reusing and reducing should be the rule throughout all Millard Public Schools and buildings. Every classroom, boardroom, cafeteria and teacher's lounge. I commend all the educators who take the initiative to teach their students the importance of recycling, reusing and reducing everyday in their classrooms. What better way to model and show our children of any age that what we do really matters and how they can all contribute to a cleaner future and healthier planet. By recycling used paper or plastic, reducing food thrown in trash cans or water down the drain, and reusing anything that can be reused, fewer trees will be harvested, less energy and natural resources will be needed and we will stop significant amounts of waste from ending up in landfills. I believe that many educators and parents aren't doing their part, and children are missing out on this very important message. This is a life-long responsibility of all citizens, and I think Millard Public School's needs to be in the forefront of this issue. MPS will do what it does best - Lead & Teach!
